30th August 2019 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: F7 bit gusty Surf / Sea State: waves Air Temperature: 19 Sea Temperature: 17.2 Weather: overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: Out an hour after high and waves were big and smooth, lovely. Some seemed mast hign and occassionally steep - passed one guy framed against a peaking, mast high one and was unsure if je saw what was looming behind him. Some great rides down and tried only a few DLT which didn't come off well. Did several jumps, one off a steep logo wave with no other choice so went for it and it was a long way down the other side. Always learning and followed one guy out figuring which waves to hop over and which to ride over to get out of death-zone fast which helped. Wind was a bit gusty but always enough to plane which I need to keep safe. Packed up after over 2 hours as tired and beginning to feel a bit crowded; also wind getting gustier. Best sail this year. Bit windier than yesterday but sea nicer, perhaps being a bit more South. |
